The problem
Keeping track of who owes you, and who you owe, falls apart in notes apps and chat threads.
What I built
A ledger with a reconciliation engine, reminders, reports and an AI assistant.
The result
It's live on the web and packaged for Android, with 34 automated tests on the money logic.

How I built it

The problem

The hard part is the arithmetic, not the list.

Writing down that Raj owes you money is easy. Keeping the balance right after part-payments, edits, and money in two currencies is where most apps quietly go wrong.

What I got wrong first

Two bugs that doubled people's debts.

The quick-add box read "Raj paid me back" as a new loan, so a repayment doubled the debt. It now recognises payments and records them as payments.

Balances were also adding rupees to dollars and showing a total that meant nothing. Every balance is now kept per currency. Both fixes have tests, so they stay fixed.

What I built

Settle up without leaving the app.

Settle-up links open UPI, Venmo or PayPal already filled in. The app never touches the money. Reminders are written for you, so asking for money back is less awkward. Reports show who pays late and how money moved month by month.

Your ledger is stored on your own device.
